About us

Graphic design isn’t just about producing pretty documents. We believe every document has a job to do. Whether it’s promoting your product, conveying important information or delivering a fascinating story – good graphic design must engage and compel the audience. A good looking design is almost invisible. A well-designed document will be easy and pleasurable to read, and will succeed in its goal to engage the intended audience.

Need 3D illustration?

Whether you’re creating technical manuals, illustrated guides or promoting a new product, 3D illustration can help your team and your clients to visualise exactly what you need them to see. We can produce to scale 3D illustrations which can be viewed from any angle and at any size, including factory drawings, printed documents, online brochures and exhibition stands.

We specialise in data-accurate 3D graphics and factory drawings, providing reference and scale for engineers, fabricators, fitters, designers and manufacturers.
We’re flexible too. As freelance CAD designers we can provide a flexible solution for those urgent jobs or busy periods. We can be there to help with specific projects, urgent deadlines or just when business is brisk – but without the ongoing financial and HR burden of hiring another permanent employee.

Need graphic design?

Every organisation needs stationery. From promotional brochures and posters to guidebooks and display material, it’s an integral part of running a company. However, not all businesses have the luxury of an in-house design team to produce the high quality stationery they need. An experienced, knowledgeable and creative freelancer can be the perfect solution for small businesses. V23 can produce unique and engaging design solutions for your company’s documents.

We’ll make sure the design and presentation is perfect for your audience before creating a professional document that is formatted ready for print. There’s no reason why your businesses can’t have well designed stationery that’s as professional and impressive as your company deserves.

Need interior design?

We have decades of experience in designing kitchens, bathrooms and other interior furnishings. From bespoke kitchens for period properties to off-the-shelf units for your home refurbishments – we can make sure the design looks great, works well and suits your budget. We work with homeowners, manufacturers, retailers and furniture designers to produce floor plans, scaled drawings, 2D and 3D images.

We’re flexible too. As freelance designers we can provide a flexible solution for those urgent jobs or busy periods. We can be there to help with specific projects, urgent deadlines or just when business is brisk – but without the ongoing financial and HR burden of hiring another permanent employee.

Pleasing your printer:

Ask any printer and they’ll tell you about the headaches they have with poorly prepared design and artwork. With over 20 years’ experience in the design and print industry, we will prepare your design documents to be perfect and ready to print. Accurate, print-ready artwork can save both time and money which might be spent fixing poorly prepared artwork.

We produce meticulously accurate PDF or Adobe software files for your printer to work with, taking account of issues such as bleed, cropping/guillotine accuracy, font management and colour accuracy for your brand. Our print-ready design files will ensure that what you see on your screen is exactly what you’ll get when it comes off the press – with no nasty surprises.

And if you’re looking for a printer, we can help with that too. We’ll recommend the most suitable printing company for your specific project to ensure you get a great result with a realistic cost. No problem.

… and if you need copywriting or content:

Tony Jones is a content developer and interpretation text writer. He writes copy that is interesting, engaging, easy to read and does the job you intend it to do. Whether you’re producing a museum panel, a marketing brochure, a magazine feature or a website, you’ll need to find the right words to tell your story. Words are the transaction point, where your message is conveyed to your readers, your visitors and your customers. Its vitally important to get it right.

If you need to distill a lot of information to create an engaging, punchy, easy to read document, then we’d love to hear from you. We can help you to produce copy from scratch, or we can review text you have produced to make it more effective and interpretation friendly. Every great document deserves great text. We’ll make it happen. Working with some of the world’s top exhibition design companies, Tony writes stories for museums and galleries worldwide. He also writes for publishers such as Bloomsbury, BBC Magazines and The Spectator Magazine and has published two books about boating on Britain’s canals and rivers.

Why V23?

The name V23 was inspired by the periodic table of elements. It is the chemical symbol for Vanadium, a strong, corrosion-resistant metal that is also flexible, adaptable and super-conductive. It is used in a wide range of applications, often where strength and colour are required.

If you have an interesting idea or you’re looking for design that stands out from the crowd, we’d love to work with you.
